Manatee County School Board Speech

Manatee County's Outstanding Teen Speaks to School Board about the importance of volunteering.

Mr. Steve Valley, Director of Communications, Family and Community Engagement; introduced Braden River High School Junior, Eryn LaLonde, the 2015 Manatee County Outstanding Teen. Ms. LaLonde won the local title in November and will now compete in the state competition in June. Ms. LaLonde addressed the Board and encouraged everyone to provide opportunities for teenagers and youth to think beyond their own world, get involved in their community, and make a difference in other people's lives. Following Ms. LaLonde's speech, Mr. Valley introduced Ms. LaLonde's parents.
